Olevio is the brand of handcrafted watches, bags and bijoux made from olive trees, founded by Francesco Melcarne, a young entrepreneur from Puglia with a strong passion for his region.

After graduating in Economics and Business Management from the University of Salento, doing the internship that enabled him to qualify as a certified public accountant, and earning a master's degree in International Marketing Management from Gema Business School in Rome and Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, he decided to put his knowledge to good use to start an entrepreneurial activity in his homeland, Puglia.

From an early age, Francesco worked in the family business, in the olive groves, in the olive press for the production of extra virgin olive oil and in the tourist management of the residence in Santa Maria di Leuca. It was his passion for his origins, combined with the desire to redeem his land, which is rich in resources but poor in opportunities, that gave birth to Olevio, a brand of handcrafted olive items that complements the family's tourism offerings.

Olevio is the result of Francesco's studies, which provided him with a business vision and careful analysis of numbers, a passion for the olive tree and a desire to enhance Puglia's riches. After a course in carpentry, Francesco explored the potential of this art and, with the support of carefully selected local masters, transformed olive tree wood into watches, bags, belts and jewelry that tell the strength and history of Salento.

Today, Francesco handles the design and final assembly, combining tradition and innovation in working with natural materials such as olive wood, metals and marble. Olevio's workshop is located in Gagliano del Capo, near Santa Maria di Leuca, where design comes to life through craftsmanship. Inspired by nature and tradition, Olevio's name and essence are derived from the olive tree, a symbol of Salento and the raw material of its products, made with handcrafted care and inspired by the colors and landscapes of Puglia: from the blue of the sea to the warm tones of the sunny land.

Olevio is distinguished by its innovative design, in which tradition and modernity come together harmoniously. Each accessory is designed for those seeking a distinctive detail, a combination of elegance and sustainability.
